| controls injector pulse, fuel flow and warm up duration among other things. While you probably have electrical issues that need to be addressed I suggest that you replace the thermostat with an OEM standard temp unit (no aftermarket stuff here) as well as the OEM coolant temp sensor. While you are at it clean all connectors and fill them with dielectric grease to prevent future corrosion. Do the same with the battery terminals. I did this to my Z and eliminated a bunch of electric gremlins. Have you added a ground net system? Less than $10 and helps alot. Have you checked the ohms of the heater circuit of the O2 sensors. I had issues with fuel usage and it was traced to a bad thermostat that was not modulating correctly and had incorrect open dimension vs temp thus running to cool. FYI on my Z when fully warmed up the temp at the coolant pipe that houses the thermostat is 182F (with infared temp gun). Prior to replacing the thermostat it was 170F thereabouts. You would think this wouldn't matter that much but it caused poor fuel mileage. I figure since the correct temp was not reached the ECU remained in warm up mode to long or maybe never left?
